The Truth Begins to Surface

New documents have been discovered, that show that US Attorney General  Eric Holder lied, under oath, about his knowledge of BATFE's Operation Fast and Furious.

In his testimony,  he said "I'm not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks."

These new documents are evidence that what he said was false. These documents are memos that were addressed and sent directly to Eric Holder. These documents, mostly blacked out for security still show the basis of the operation, which was to allow Mexican drug cartel members to purchase firearms, mostly rifles such as the AK-47, and allow them to transport them back into Mexico without being tracked.

For those who have not heard of Operation Fast and Furious, it was a gun walking operation ran by the Phoenix BATFE(Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, Firearms, and Explosives). This operation required that law-abiding gun dealers to sell weapons to people that they would not normally sell to because BATFE said to do so.  Around 2,500 firearms were sold to these people, and BATFE currently cannot find over 1,000 of these firearms. Some of these firearms are still located in the US. In late September, about 290 firearms sold in this operation were found in El Paso, Texas. Included in this cache were 40 AK-47 purchased by the same person at the same store because the owner was instructed to by the ATF.

These firearms have also been found in at least 11 US crime scenes, including the murder scene of border patrol agent Brian Terry back in December of 2010.

The truth is beginning to appear through the cover up. As more information gets released more names are revealed. This operation has already been linked to Department of Justice, FBI, and BATFE. Who knows where this will lead next.
